UCLA girls racist rants against asians.

A UCLA student, addresses the inconvenience and disdain over the Asian students that attend her university. I figure this story should be addressed, as it touches yet another racial nerve in America where racial tensions that still lingers within society. Should we be needing an honest discourse with the public over such an issue?

I reside in Vancouver, BC up in Canada. There is a large Asian community here, and i do not just mean the the Chinese, but the Japanese,  Indians, Mongolians etc. I am friends with many, who do not even remotely act this way, and for those that are Americanized or Canadianized are very aware of the mannerisms we are all accustomed to, I find this absolutely absurd. What is worse is not just her comments, but the you tube comments below. If you want to be part of the solution do not be part of the problem, by demeaning this woman for some sense of retribution is in now way shape or form making you the better person.

What i wonder is, with the new generation of people growing up, has our sense of entitlement, and contempt for regards of others, reached a new peak? I find myself living in a ruder world, where all the virtues i learned growing up at this moment doesn't amount to much. The joke has died, i stopped laughing, gotten wiser and my perception has changed, allowing me to focus on things that cannot improve my life but improve humanity . I feel as if those i talk to just see it as some divine comedy, nothing to ponder about except laugh at the circumstances as it unfolds  itself, but that in itself in my mind is just taking a step towards a direction that's not progressive. I am only speaking from a social issue perspective, because i feel the moral compass has lost its magnetism for my own peers.

With the internet now being used by far many people today from not to long ago, voices can be heard all over, so even with this, it potentially puts a mark in UCLA s prestige, millions can hear and view their opinions, what people have to say has more weight then ever before.

Do you think this is a social issue that needs to be addressed or something that should be left by the way side?
